Putting the sensors and the mooring components to the tests

Large, sensor-equipped, composite components are tested in the current campaign of the Smartmooring project, in the facilities at the SMC laboratory at Gustave Eiffel University.

In the trials, the mechanical response of the component is monitored by e.g. fiber optic sensing systems, providing essential data for validating sensor integration and structural performance under relevant load conditions.
