Consortium meeting in Nantes, focus on mechanical trials

In September 2024, the Smartmooring consortium gathered in Nantes for a highly productive meeting hosted by the University Gustave Eiffel. The university team showcased their facilities for real-scale mechanical tests under static and cyclic loads, an impressive infrastructure that is critical to the Smartmooring project, to test and validate the performance of the sensor technology and mooring component designs.

The two days were filled with valuable discussions and demonstrations, greatly advancing the designs and plans for the mechanical trials in the project.

The meeting gathers inside (!) one of the test infrastructures at Univ. Gustave Eiffel in Nantes.
